This recipe from my Danish Aunt Bente is a firm family favourite. Ian was

We lived for about 15 years at the foot of the Sussex Downs and were able to
buy freshly butchered South Downs lambs direct from the farmers. About US$30
for half a lamb. I don't know how much guys pay for the stuff but that's
about a quarter of what you'd pay for the same meat at a reputable butcher
in the UK.
The frozen New Zealand stuff is ok for an ordinary Sunday lunch, but for a
real treat South Downs Sussex lamb is second only to that raised in the
Welsh mountains. Nothing else touches it.
