Confidential sources reported that Lloyd Lachow, 50,
former appliance operator, was seen purchasing an
inexpensive, 15-range DMM at Radio Shack early this
afternoon.
"Sure hope he doesn't hurt himself," a bystander was
overheard saying.
He was rumored to be rummaging around at a local
tobacconist for "...an unusual, Altoids-like tin,"
ostensibly for enclosing some kind of small electronic
gadget, but we were unable to confirm this at press
time.
In a recent interview, his wife said, "...I don't know
what's come over him. He was always happy with
ready-made stuff before, and now it smells like solder
every night, and all these little packages keep
arriving in the mail."
Lachow was unavailable for comment.
