I have some nerve damage in my back which affects my left ankle and
foot a fair amount.  One effect of that is that my QLF is even worse
than my normal keying.  I can occasionally get a reasonable "U" if I
keep the speed down to 6-8 wpm, but "V" (or anything else with 3 or
more dots in a row) can result in purely random characters.
