A cry in the street throws the agitation in the Elys�e
PARIS (Reuters) - the guard (YL) of the Elys�e is on the grill since a cry of
woman tore one evening of last July the silence of the street of the
presidential palate, writing the "Canard Enchain�" (Satirical Newspaper)
published today.
Believing that a woman had been just stabbed, Bernadette Chirac (Madame Chirac)
indeed went out in the street on July 10 to discover that this cry had been
thorough by a woman police officer in faction in front of the Elys�e, tickled by
one of her colleagues. "Behavior that I consider unacceptable on behalf of
police officers on duty to the sight of the public", declared the wife of the
head of the State in one official report whose satirical weekly magazine
publishes extracts. Taking into account the gravity of the business, the
authorities immediately convened the protagonists of the drama.
"Yes, indeed, I pushed a cry because my colleague tickled me the hips (... ) It
is true that it is not completely normal to make the clowns in the street, near
the presidential palate ", the policewoman conceded.
Step by stpe, the investigation went up to the shift worker-major on duty this
evening, who did not mention in his handwritten report the hugeness of the
event. "I recognize now that I should have analyzed the situation with less
lightness", he has says. According to the newspaper, this police officer should
find himself in a few weeks in front of the disciplinary board for this error of
appreciation.
 The disciplinary judges will have in particular to say if there were "tickles",
as indicated by the protagonists, or of "titillations", term also used  by the
police chief in charge of the investigation.
