Hello !
F5PBL/QRP was the beacon yesterday evening on 14.060 from 1800Z till 1900Z. I
successfully made ONE contact with OH9NB at 1840Z, which was my very first QSO
since 27th of April 2002, believe it or not. BTW, OH9NB is located in Lapland,
area I have visited 2 years ago so we exchanged some point of view abt this.
What did you say ?? Soc Sprint ??.. Oh, yes .. maybe ..
I think I heard "something" from the States but really too weak to make any QSO.
Then I stopped calling and was just listening.
2046Z : 4X1BD in the log.
I do not remember when the K1 switched off but should be after 2200Z for at
2130Z I QSOed N4HAY, 559 on both sides.
I even have a SWL report from Lloyd (K3ESE) abt my QSO with N4HAY. Yes Lloyd, I
was ragchewing ! Yesterday evening I needed to know if I was still able to run a
QSO after 5 months off and unfortunately the SOC Sprint will only be a "sortie
priscopique" before returning to the "bas fonds de l'ocan".
<<
Maybe Bob is right, and the SOC Sprint should RIP. SOC is too SOC to support
it..
>>
Keep the faith ...
And do not fail to send your logs to Bob, our beloved Contest Manager, among
other things .. :op
SWL logs are welcome too !
Has anyone heard Bud, SOC #534, aka VE7ASK. Yesterday (14th of Sept - SOC
Sprint) was his birthday ...
72!
