Hello tous,

Once agn looking for help ... well, maybe !

I have found some info abt a QRS Club, but w/o info abt address, with a few
exception (see below). The info is located on an ham page introducing CW clubs.
Obviously this QRS Club is a "joke" but it would be funny to know a bit more
abt it :

<<
INTRODUCTION

The QRS CLub was formed in late 1998 under the sponsorship of the
Fitzwilliam Amateur Radio Telegraphy Society (FARTS), as a means of
encouraging Phone Men to become better acquainted with the Morse code. On
second thought, strike the word "better" from the previous sentence.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Requirements for membership include the following:

1. Must make at least one Morse code contact per year, unless the operator's
license was obtained via a waiver for the Morse code test.

2. The minimum speed for the annual Morse contact must be at least 4 wpm,
and the contact must make use of at least 15 letters of the alphabet and and
at least 1 numeral. Punctuation is optional. Guessing is allowed and
actively encouraged.

3. If the operator obtained his license via a Morse waiver, requirements 1
and 2 are changed to the following: Must talk on the air (75 or 20 meter
SSB) at least once per month about wishing he/she had (a) the manual
dexterity to send Morse code and (b) the intellectual wherewithal to decipher
Morse code.

4. Must own a key, and should be able to find same within 30 minutes when
requested to do so by an officer or member of the Club.

5. Must have a look-up chart for the Morse code at the operating position,
in case of a communications emergency. This may be in the form of either a
page torn from "Learning the Radiotelegraph Code" or "The ARRL Handbook," or
one of the cheap kiddy handi-talkies with the Morse code inscribed on its
side.

6. Must know, by memory, the Morse code equivalents for the letters and the
numeral of his/her call sign, with at least 75% accuracy.

7. Must be able to send SOS using a flashlight, to confirm his/her emergency
preparedness. An applicant's sending OSO is grounds for disqualification
from membership. Applicants so disqualified may reapply after 90 days.

8. Must be able to explain the difference between a dot and a dash (ie, a
dit and a duh), to include an explanation of which one is longer, and why.

9. Must know at least one of Samuel Morse's middle initials.

APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

Interested amateurs are invited to send application for membership in
the QRS Club with the following attachments: (1) Three 500-word letters of
recommendation from licensed amateurs, at least one of who is a QRS Club
member in good standing. (2) A notarized copy of the applicant's amateur
radio license. (3) A color photograph (minimum size, 4x6 inches) of the
applicant seated at his/her operating position with his/her hand on the key
(to ensure that the applicant knows which end of the key to place his/her
fingers on). (4) A new-style $50 bill as the nonrefundable application fee.
In-person testing of the applicant will be scheduled at a time and place
convenient to the QRS Admissions Committee. Applicants are responsible for
their own travel expenses to the designated location.

Upon receipt of an application package, the Club will acknowledge
receipt of same, and will render a judgment as to the acceptance or
preemptory rejection (with prejudice) of the application within 90 days,
except during periods of Daylight Time, Standard Time, Universal Time, and
solar eclipse.

CLUB ACTIVITIES

On-the-air meetings of the QRS Club will be scheduled at times
convenient to the members and officers of the Club, especially the officers.
Advance copies of the text to be sent during the scheduled 4 wpm Morse
transmissions will be mailed to each member, to ensure "solid copy."
