Thanks Paul. Yes my cousin was nervously on the phone to my sister to see if any
of her "colonials" were harmed. I expect my sister is now on the phone to see if
Wolverhampton is still there or blown away. Talk about a pair of "twittering
birds", both clones of my mother, cry at the drop of a hat, all very English.

The Indonesian PM is under enormous pressure now. She has pleaded with OZ to
lift travel restrictions to Bali because of economic reasons. Our PM won't have
a bar of it until changes are made. I suspect he's fishing for an invitation /
approval for the USA to bomb the sh** out of terrorist camps and followed up
immediately by an air drop of Australian SAS and god knows who else. We couldn't
bomb them, not with the relics we have.

Stealth on the ground in a jungle?

Yes, our field of expertise. We always like to play dirty pool and we're gunna
get them.

None too politely either because not since Japan invaded New Guinea in 1942,
shelled Sydney, torpedoed ships in the harbour and bombed North Australia has
any war we've been involved in become so personal.

Back then, a few thousand 18 year old kids [literally], straight from civvy
street, with much less than two weeks training and very ill equipped, belt the
sh** out of the Japanese and drained them dry in and over steaming mountain
ranges for hundreds of miles on foot until what was left of our boys months
later were relieved by seasoned troops from the middle east. None of the 50,000
Japanese survived.

They've picked on the wrong bastards this time, we've never played by the rules,
we've never had the luxury of numbers, we have to be smarter and we don't really
care who we offend. A really p***ed off Australian is a very nasty person
indeed, a terrifying sight. If New York enraged us before, you should see us
now. After New York recruiting went right up. Now.....

And don't discount New Zealand being involved. Combined? We fight like cat and
dog among ourselves, but together? Look at history.

Australians along with US, British, French and Germans have now virtually taken
over investigations in Bali. I don't think the Indonesian military like it.
Tough!

On a lighter note, talking about "ritual (and entirely necessary ;-)) mutual Pom
and Oz bashing" I see your team's now here for another ritual flogging.

Paul gets to sob in his beer once more.
