Hello Bob, 'Morning to everybody and Bonjour ot Ian,
I think I have yet seen a Southwest bird here at CDG airport once or
twice but can not swear it on the Bible (..!!!!! NOOooooooo, I will
not start it agn !). US Air are far more common ones along with Delta & United.
The "non seat assignment" is used also here for short legs (1-2 hours
max) within France. It speeds up the boarding process. Or should ...
like in buses, "intelligent" way of boarding being to go from rear to
front but well ... "man is only a man".
I am always "surprised" by the stupidity of people in buses (or
trains) staying just near the doors when there is plenty of free space
(and sometimes ever free seats) at the rear. While in transport back
home, we are all in an hurry so let's do the cattle loading in an
efficient way.
Speaking of painted birds, Thai 747-400's are also pretty good
samples, with a long pirogue paint and paddlers, some pagoda also.
First seen for their King Jubilee Celebration (72 years if I remember
well).
BA (British) some years ago also started to repaint part of their
fleet but it seems that it has not been really appreciated ...
One of the most horrible painting I have seen was the Concorde paint
in ... red by/for Coca-cola ... beeuuuurrrkkkk ... ! ;op

One of the nicest flights I ever had was on the plane America West used
for the Phoenix Suns basketball team. It had extra leg room in several
of the rows. Being 6'7" (200 cm) tall, I really appreciated it.
>>
Are you the coach of the team ?! ;o)
I am 168 cm (3'28'') _and_ wearing glasses ... you are not allowed to
hurt me even if I speak French .. !! (ouf !)
72!
