One comment:  6000 per hour my fat fanny!  I saw an overall max of 100 or so. 
 Did see a couple neat ones that were brighter than Venus (which I also saw - 
took me a while to figure out what the heck it was!) and left a green ion 
trail (issat the right term?) for a good distance.

Btw, haven't they been giving the "it's going to be the best one this 
century" line out for the last four years?

Ah well... off to take a 6 hour nap... good thing I don't have to work today
