A study reveals the sexual misery of the inhabitants of Singapore [ 2002-11-18
12:51 ]
SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Too stressed by their work, the inhabitants of Singapore
have a not very active sexual life, reveals an investigation of the department
of obstetrics and gynaecology of the national university. Singapourians of less
than 40 years have sexual relations six times per month, a frequency much lower
than in much of other countries, according to professor Victor Goh. The study,
undertaken near 460 men and women of this city-State of four million
inhabitants, also shows that on the matter, the things do not improve with the
age. Between 44 and 55 years, the frequency of the sexual relations falls with
four times per month and beyond 55 years, this average falls to three times per
month. Why such a sexual misery? "the principal answer, it is that they are too
much stressed", explained professor Goh. "They have children, domestic
responsibilities, they work and they are tired too much at the end of the day
to devote themself to the sex." "Much people have in fact weak sexual
functions, not for precise reasons - organic problems or disease -, but because
of the way of life induced by their situation", the doctor adds. A report which
has implications including at the governmental level, the authorities
multiplying the projects to stop the fall in the birth rate of a population
more obsessed by the courses of career, the problems of joint ownership and
money. A question remains: do the inhabitants of Singapore want to devote
themselves more than they do with the joys of the sex? Approximately 40% of the
men but only 20% of the women of less than 40 years say to want some more in
this field. "One should attach more importance to the sexual life", affirms
professor Goh. "It is necessary to release from the priorities and to make
efforts to create environment or to program the favourable moment. One should
not await the end of the day ", says it.

So :
1/ 9V is not a place to go for those who want to make "Sexual holidays".
2/ Everyone has well understood that if you have more frequent sexual relations
than 9V people, it means that you have no domestic responsabilities, no child
(this argument being acceptable !), no stress a.s.o.

Question 1 : Are 9V people so stressed exactly bcoz they are not so sexualy
active ? (proven fact by medical surveys).

Question 2 : Are F and other Latin people so "cool" bcoz they (say to be)
sexualy active or bcoz they are eating and drinking so much ?

BTW, on Friday evening I have seen a TV broadcast abt Singapore (once agn it
was a BBC W.S. broadcast, those Brits are everywhere !), vy interesting. And
showing how 9V government was the country, some "capitalist socialism".
The motto being : "the gvt wants that everybody will think for the good of the
commnunity before thinking for her/himself".
Single people are not welcome there. You should "built" a family and have
children bcoz "your child is our future".
Oh well ...

A cigar of Churchill half used sold via auctions [ 2002-11-18 14:35 ]
LONDON (Reuters) - an half used cigar of sir Winston Churchill will be proposed
to the auctions on 12 December among a series of personal objects having
belonged to the man who directed Great Britain during the Second world war.
This end of cigar, of which the ex-First minister was very fond of delicacies,
should reach 700 pounds (1.097 euros), estimated the house Sotheby' S.
Churchill liked so much the cuban "sticks of chair" - he smoked up to ten per
day - that he gave his name to some of them. Among the other objects of the
former head of the government which will be proposed, the striped costume that
he frequently wore during the war should reach 35.000 pounds. But the central
part of the sale will be a revolver and a wishkey bottle which he had kept to
improve his state of mood during his escape from a prison camp at the time of
the war of Boers in 1899 in South Africa. At the time, Churchill was a simple
war correspondent on behalf of the newspaper Morning Post. These two objects,
which could reach to 150.000 pounds (235.121 euros), had been offered to the
young Churchill by the owner of a local mine, John Howard, who had hidden it
during several days after his escape.
