We're PALs together ;-)

Hmmm, don't know about chroma sub-carrier frequency though. Germany's
PAL too and an German ex-colleague had to resort to grinding down a
ceramic resonator in order for his German TV to get colour in the UK. Never
did
quite work properly, but we had fun trying ;-)

Having said all that, I've got a Philips 'Hotel TV' in the garage that tunes
continuously from 40 MHz up to around 950 MHz and does PAL, NTSC
and SECAM (various flavours of each). Question is, if you're taking
composite
video, does the VCR affect things.
