You can't fool all of the people all of the time, but you can fool enough of
the people enough of the time..almost

Virginia had interesting result on two referenda for  regional sales tax
increases for road projects.  Both regions defeated their respective
measures by almost 2:1, despite the fact that the "yes team" outspent the
"no team" 40:1 or some such ridiculous ratio and the heavyweight pols from
both parties endorsed a "yes" vote.  What we have here is a failure to
communicate by one group and clear communication by the populace.  Wonder
what the pols will do after cleaning egg from face.
