I was listening to Rush today (please don't send me a note about that ;^)) and during
the bottom of the hour news update, they mentioned something about the World Cup.
They had some woman from the local (as in Des Moines) youth soccer group.

She said something like (get this), "Soccer is much more difficult than football,
baseball, basketball, or hockey.  All of those are team sports.  Soccer is more of an
individual sport."

Okay, time to start pointing out all the obvious flaws in that statement :^)

1.  What are all the other players on the soccer field for then?
2.  In baseball, one player is trying to hit the ball at a time, not the whole team
3.  (This is the obvious one) WHAT IS SO %#$@#$'N DIFFICULT ABOUT KICKING A BALL INTO
A 10' X 20' NET?????????? :^))))))))))

(Let's ignore the obvious "It's so exciting to watch people battle for three years to
get to a championship game that ends in a 0-0 tie" comments :^))
