Rob, I don't know what radio you're using for the digital modes, but if it
is one that has line in/out connections on the back panel you will be MUCH
better off using those rather than mic input for example.
By avoiding the mic input for audio input, you can have much more control of
audio levels between the digital mode use and SSB use of the radio. Set up
each level as needed and you'll never have to touch them again, especially
when switching between the various modes. Likewise, if you have a key line
into the radio, using that rather than VOX will offer many advantages, I
won't go into right now.
Of course if your radio has no such connections, it's mute point and I've
simply typed this for nothing. (hehehe)
