Sounds like something Madison Avenue dreamt up, your last sentence is quite correct.
Actually if they put on TV they'd be laughed out of town.

Real Australians don't use BBQ sauce, well the top 10% of us don't. A modern marketing
invention for BBQ's.

I just slam down a 1" thick steak down for 45 seconds a side on high heat, devour it
*then* come back for salads and similar poofy stuff if I feel like it...

But then I'm truly among the last of a rapidly dying breed.... Takes real talent to eat
a thick steak with a Fosters in one hand and a glass of full bodied red in the other
hand - bugger the flies, they get in the way they get eaten too.

You think I'm joking?
