[SOC] 1st contact with new call (and new radio)

I figured it out now... it takes a stereo plug with the ring right after the tip not
connected to anything.  Meaning the tip and shield are what I use... before I just
had a mono plug.  For some reason that didn't work... oh well, it does now :^)
