Subject: [SWL] Huge Hole In Sun's Corona?

Today during the HCI 40 meter Net, one check in mentioned the discovery of
a
huge hole in the Sun's atmosphere that has existed for about 100 days. It
appears to be an area that had a CME, coronal mass ejection, and
extinguished
this area totally. In other words, the fire is out. There is growing
concern
among scientists, as the area has failed to reignite.

Have any of you come upon stories related to this event? Now I am an
Astronomy
buff from last Century, but this sounds a little far fetched. I understand
that:
spaceweather.com had some information on this event.

I mention it here because this is being credited for the very peculiar
propagation paths that have plagued us for the past three months.
Thanks for your insights.
