[SOC] "alternate" browsers, e-mail, etc....

Was looking for a dos-based Telnet client. Then I got a wild hair
you-know-where about finding a dos-based e-mail client to run on and old
286 I've got laying around. I found http://www.fdisk.com, which had a lot
of neat dos programs.

The one that seemed the most interesting was a link
(http://home.arachne.cz/) to a program called Arachne, a dos-based
graphical full-color browser. From the description, there isn't much less
that it will do than IE! Plus it's only a 1 Meg download! Have it
downloaded, but haven't installed it yet. It also says it'll run on a 8086
with 500k! There are add-ons you can get to play sounds and other stuff
too. It says it will display .gif, .jpg, and some other format. You can
also get a plug-in to play videos.

Does anyone have any experience with this app? Am still looking for Telnet
and E-mail programs to run on a 286 with VERY limited resources. If anyone
can suggest any, please do!
