One of my mates tells me that in New Guinea during WWII they had to politely
tell one "Sallie":
"Padre, keep your head down, you're in the line of fire and DON'T DROP THE
BLOODY COFFEE!"
It was a little more pithy than that... Sallies come around pubs on Friday
nights collecting money and never get a knock back, ever. Don't donate and your
mates will talk about you all night....
