Chris,

I am not sure G.B. is "only a member" as H.M. the Queen is said to be the
"Chief" of the Commonwealth. So ... G.B. is not a member among other but "a bit
more", n'est-il-pas ?!!

Napoleon has not succeed bcoz as in other many cases some of his people have
"turned their vest" as we say.
Besides that, and honnestly speaking, I am almost sure that noone can succeed in
making the "Perfide Albion" surrender.
I think that 60 years ago the British People has shown to the whole world that
noone can invade the Island ...

I am not up to date abt the UK history but as far as I know only one guy has
succeeded in invading the Island. It was some centuries ago and the guy's name
was Guillaume ...

>QUESTION...DOES FRANCE HAVE A COMMONWEALTH??

We used to have colonies. A great part of them has gained (in a bloody way or
not) independance.
Now we just have what we called the DOM/TOM : Departments d'Outre-Mer et
Territoires d'Outre-Mer (overseas depts & overseas territories). : FG, FM, FO,
FR, FY, FT-W, FT-X, FT-Y, FT-Z
I will not speak of Corsica which is a very special case ... BTW birthland of
Napoleon !
Humm ... a joke abt Corsica & Napoleon :
Do you know why Louis XIV has bought Corsica to Italy ??
Well, just in order Napoleon to be born French .. :o)))

Back to cricket now. So women are playing cricket too ?...
I am starting to think that I was right to start learning the rules of this game
;o))

Abt Zidane ...French Sport teams are funny ones you know ... when they win, they
are putting some of the player on a Golden seat. When they are loosing, it is
always becoz some of the "Golden player" was ill or whatever it can be.
Tennis (Roland Garros and other of this kind) is the funniest example : should
M. Pierce or before years Y. Noah win a game, then they are F players. Should
they lost , then they are only "French by adoption" but in fact American or
Senegalese (was it 6W for Noah, do not remember).
Too funny to be true but it is true !

73!
Claude
