Well ... Base-Ball reminds me some child game we play at school. It is called
under different names but the most used is "la poire" (the peer).
The rules are basically the same as in your base-ball except that we do not use
any bat. You know, as in the Rugby (not the RL, R alone !!), we are nude
warriors here ... doing everything by hand (uh... did I say that ?? Well ..
maybe !)
A circle of players is formed. A ball or whatever can be used for the purpose
is travelling around the circle and you have to run around the circle and exit
the game b4 the ball reachs some specific player.
If you are running and see that the ball will be "at home" before you exit, you
stop running and stay near an other player on the circle.

Now do not ask me what we call it the peer .. I do not know !

Oh boys ... I did not ran around the circle for maybe 25 years but still
remembering that ... Brain cells are incredible things indeed :o))

Jan (KF0Z), what about enroling your son in the US Cricket team ?
BTW, how many players are needed for this game ??
Just to now how many bottles of beer and OJ I have to bring at the next SOC
BBQ !

Guys, do not forget that we are still looking for our official SOC sport !
What abt Cricket ?!!! Played by SOCs it can not be nothing but HILAROUS !!!

Ian and Chris (and Paul now), I do respect traditions, you know that, don't
you ?! So ... what about being the official referees for the next US - France
Cricket Tournament ? I should have a white cap here somewhere ... Let's see ...
