In fact, there is not such a F word. Depending of some variation due to some
accent, I can think for "brun" (brown) or "brin" ("a bit [of something]" or
"sprig"). So, maybe "brown" may be close to "crap" (!!) but well ...
But if your wife said "brain" with the English way to pronounce the word, I can
not find any F word of this kind.
It should be interesting to get in touch with your now sister-in-law to get the
exact explanation .. !
