Bonsoir tous, Bonjour Ian,
This morning (LT) I"ve post something but it seems that it did not get through
and I can even see that it is not in my outbox folder. So I guess I've dream it.
Here it is once agn ...
So ... Welcome back to you, Ian :o))
>*REAL* men play Rugby League.
I was sure You were someone we can count on ;o))
Now we only miss someone from NZ, fan of the All Blacks and all will be OK !!
>BTW Claude, what became of your Rugby League team? Used to play Australia quite
>regularly up until a few years back.
Well, as far as I know, we have done it once agn at the "5+ Nations" so I guess
we are still at some good level, this Turnament being a very good test to know
if you are still "up to date".
>Claimed he couldn't speak a word of english
As a great part of us, Frenchies ;op Ok, Ok ... I may be some kind of "outlaw"
on this matter but as you have noticed, I do have some kind of "French accent"
..!
Well, I guess that this referee has gained such kind of respect also due to the
fact that we are here speaking of a Gentlemen' sport. I am almost sure that this
kind of respect is hardly found in Soccer. Some days ago I've read something in
a weekly mag (Ian, I am refering here to L'Express, well-known to you now !) :
some Soccer referees do not want anymore to go on duty in some areas for
local/regional/national games just because it is now too _dangerous_ for them to
be a referee between some teams ...
And they call it "sportmanship" ... We are far away for Pierre de Coubertin's
Spirit (an other Froggy, BTW !)
73!
