Bonjour tous,
Here are the Morning news. This time, everything is coming from your side of the
Ocean, congrats !!
The rules "a la lettre".
JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri (AP) -- the senior of the senators of Missouri made an
astonishing demonstration this week, by making his entrance in the Hall. without
shirt. The democrat John Shneider, who is a senator for more than 30 years,
knows the rules of the assembly by heart. His indecency obviously attracted all
the glances, but he could not be expelled since the vestimentary code of the
local Senate requires only the port "of the jacket and the tie". Shneider must
take his retirement this year. He is known by voters for his ignited speeches.
and his striped shirts. AP

SAVANNAH, Georgia (AP) -- Katherine Sheppard dreamed all her life of good "Big
Mac", of a "Whopper" or a "quarter of pound". At 94 years, she finally comes to
succumb to temptation. Dressed of a smart green dress and a paired hat that the
old lady left her residence, Monday, aboard the convertible red car of her
friend Tony Calendra, 94 years also. She had prepared with the feast of her life
by taking only one cup of tea for breakfast. The elegant one was received with
the honors by one of the many restaurants McDonald' S of her city. The owner of
the establishment, Stalemate Tracy, made her taste the fish net, pieces of
breaded chicken and the "3 floors burger" which made the reputation of the
American chain. After nine decades of family kitchen, Mrs. Sheppard took her
time to taste her "fast food". "I did not think that a sandwich could be so
tasty", she said. AP
[personnal comment : since last week, here in France, Mc Do is starting a new ad
campaign explaining, in a pure demagogic style, that it is not good for one's
health to eat at Fast Food every day, the good "rate" being around once or twice
per week. The official reason given is "We want to show you that we are honest
and taking care of your health".
Now what may be the _real_ reason ??... Lake of cows ?? Of potatoes ?? ... Of
ketchup ??...]

Bis repetita.
MEMPHIS, Tennessee (AP) -- the shortest path is always the one which one knows
the best. An American prisoner showed it last week by leaving the prison by a
hole which had already enabled him to escape 11 years ago. David Ivy, 30 years,
recovered his liberty on last 16 May, after having noted that his old loophole
was still usable. As he had done in 1991, he initially slipped into the walking
court located on the roof of the city jail of Memphis, before going down on the
ground using the gutter.
"One wants to howl when one hears a similar trick", the director of the jail,
Marron Hopkins declared before specifying that the hole had recently been
repaired. The authorities described Ivy like "dangerous and probably armed". AP
