Maybe, It does get a bit like trench warfare at times, but the flipside is
that in "footie" (soccer) it really isn't over 'till the fat lady sings.

For sure ! Speaking of the World Cup, here in France all fans will remember
"forever" that famous match against Bulgaria some years ago (I do not remember
when anymore, was it in 1992-93 ?) : all was OK and in the last minute the now
famous LZ player made a good shoot and .... Exit France, no entry in the World
Cup next year !

(I'm talking about you Mr Barthez...sorry Claude)

Do not worry Chris ... England is an other country for Rugby, so it can not be
a so bad country ;o)) // Kidding
As has said John (AGN), between England and France we also have some bad moments
(1815 and then 1821 for example) but one of our famous Fraternity has a French
Motto ("Honi soit qui mal y pense") so ... "Dieu sauve la Reine !"

Back to sport now :
It has sense to act the way Chris is describing as it makes some show and doing
so, fans can be happy : they have some action till the end of the game, good for
the money they gave ;o))
