[SOC] A word from the Secretary

Bonjour � tous,

Well, after John, W2AGN, some months ago it seems that Ian, VK2TIP had to suffer
some "censorship" from the QTH.NET server hosting the SOC ML.
Last night we finaly fixed the problem thanks to Tim, the QTH.NET Guru and the
reason was the same as for John : some DNS parameter missing for the "callback
feature" at Ian's ISP.
Quite rightly, Ian suggested me to post something on this subject on the ML so
that any friend staying "in the dark" should know that there is light after
darkness ...
If you are posting mesgs that do not appear on the ML and if you do not have any
mesg back that something went wrong, pse send me an email and I will check that
will Tim. On your side, you can check with your ISP for the following :

His ISP is not reporting a reverse DNS when it's looked up.  It shows up as
fake.

We (as most modern mailing lists and a growing number of ISPs) check each
message we receive to make sure it comes from a valid domain and discard any
mail that appears to come from fake addresses to stop spammers.

He will have to contact his ISP and get them to fix this as there is nothing we
can do from our end.  Sorry!
