That reminds me of a practice I hear sometimes.  That is to mix the letters
with the phonics.  Goes something like this:  "CQ <and more CQs> from W
Whisky B Bravo 9 <or maybe a "Niner"> X Xray Y Yankee Z Zulu............"

Shuts down my brain real quick.  Have no idea what the guy's call is.
