Well, I don't have good stuff to post and don't belong to the SOC, altho my
motto is soc et tuam.

(1)  re SOC-    I, predictably, am a member.   SOC 50 and SOC 251.   Nobody
knows why, not even the Founder.    Don't know who that was, naturally.
I could sponsor you as a member if you can point to something reasonably
dumb that you have achieved.    We're very tolerant about this- even NOT
having a Qualifying Goof would qualify you, because you were too dumb to
think one up ahead of time.    See?    Simple!

(2) Yes,  I too heard a few CQ FOC's floating around a week or so back.
I suspect that they were having a Ceremony of some sort.    Certainly, they
were hammering along at a fair clip- no mistakes or repeats either (that I
could catch).    Ah well, one day that might be us.

(3) Mind if I copy this to the soc reflector?   It might just wake up some
of the old fogies there...
