Curiously, never used in OZ.

Equivalents might be [in ascending order]:

Stupid Bastard - [dumb]
Smart Bastard - [smart arse]
Idiot Bastard - [not so dumb]
Sorry Bastard - [not bright]
Clever Bastard - [clever act]

Bastard is *the* most ubiquitous word in the Australian vocabulary, many
nuances for the identical expression depending upon context and circumstance.

Always advisable for newcomers to give the word a wide swerve for at least five
years.
