Condoms without restriction for world Scout Jamboree in Thailand [ 2002-12-24

BANGKOK (Reuters) - the Thai ministry for Health will distribute free condoms 
to the young participants in the world Scout Jamboree which will start this 
week in Sattahip, 170 km south-east of Bangkok. 
This distribution will be done on a voluntary basis, announced the authorities 
which await 30.000 scouts from 14 to 18 years old. The congress will last 
eleven days. Sattahip is paradoxically located not far from the seaside resort 
of Pattaya, "Thai capital of the sex industry". 
"We wish to promote the sure sex", specifies a spokesman of the ministry for 
Health. "We will offer condoms to the scouts who will request them, but I think 
that the majority of them already are very well prepared", he mysteriously 
added.
