Mac, it seems Chuck's site has been removed. Anybody know anything?
BTW Paul, Chuck is considered by many to be the "ultimate" CW professional.
It's worth noting [my old man said the same] that Chuck advocates learning at high speed.
My OM, [VK2ARP - SK] taught thousands of WT operators over the years, notably the WAG's [wireless air gunners] under the Empire Air Training scheme during the early part of WW11. Then he got shanghaied into Wireless Intelligence in the Pacific, later Radar.
I think he was around 60 WPM on a good day but he was taught by the rigours of the Navy as a "boy" during WW1 and there was nothing but CW way back then.
All his pupils started out at 15 or 20 WPM (can't remember] - I was his only failure of note.
His advice? Start out fast, spend your days singing street signs, anything you see during your day, in your head.
Sing! Sing!
