The carapate

LAPORTE, Indiana (AP) - A burglar has escaped policemen in the north
of Indiana in... stealing the car of his pursuers.

The police has found the car in the garage of a house of LaPorte but
the thief had disappeared, has declared Tuesday the chief of the
police Walter Brath.

According to authorities, a policeman pursued the van of the suspect
after a burglary committed in the county of Saint-Joseph when the
presumed thief has stopped ahead of a church to continue his escape
walking.
