I am the one with the kiddies, and the Potter. We
all love it, and my son was Harry for a couple of
Hallowe'ens. We got the fourth book in the series,
all 784 pp, or something, one Saturday when it came
out, at 8:30 am, and my xyl had finished it Sunday at
1 am. I was doing the parenting, so I didn't finish it
until the Monday evening. Can't wait for the next one.
Great literature? Not a bit. But very fun.

For great reading, I strongly suggest the
twenty-volume series of novels by Patrick O'Brien
about a British sea-captain in the early nineteenth
century, Jack Aubrey, and his particular friend,
Stephen Maturin, a physician/spy. Very well-written
and historically accurate series. First book is
entitled, "Master and Commander."
