Mon Ami,

No one else answered you so I will - well Chris snarled at me privately.

Rhyming slang, "To & From's" = Poms = Englishmen.

A very, very loooong time ago, Australia played England in a game of cricket. The
rotten colonials won!

The devastated English took the stumps and burnt them. The "Ashes" were interred
in an urn and ever since represent the trophy.

However, no matter how many times we flog them in the game they won't part with
the trophy. We're given an imitation replica.

Quoting Chris (hope it's OK) in typical restrained English fashion:

So I simply asked Chris:

Q: What's the definition of an Englishman with 100 runs against his name?

A: Bowler

Paul's rather silent. Sobbing in his beer / whiskey?

72/73's
