It's true!   And, Redneckese IS easier to understand.  I also have trouble
understanding much modern-day English-English.  Once while flying to Europe
on British Air for me they had to repeat everything twice.  Es war immer wie
Bitte, wie Bitte?  I would have had a better chance understanding with
German.
