[SOC] FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: N1R to be active tomorrow

                 QST de WB9TEA/W9SSP     2 August 2002.
         On 3 August 2002, The Lamoine Emergency Amateur Radio Club 
(LEARC)  will be operating Special Event Station N1R from the summer 
training camp of the NFC champion St. Louis Rams on the campus of Western 
Illinois University in Macomb IL.   LEARC plans to begin operations at 900 
Central (1400z).  Non WARC bands will be our primary focus of 
operations.  LEARC will be focusing mainly on SSB, although, CW will not be 
ruled out completely.
         LEARC will be offering a certificate es asks for a $2.00 donation 
to help cover printing and postage costs.  Any operators in the Macomb area 
are welcome to come es operate, N1R will be monitoring the local 2M 
repeater on 147.060 +.
         Hopefully propagation will be back in shape
