[SOC] How much does a private frequency cost?

I want my own frequency. I won't mind sharing it on occasion with a station
for awhile if I'm not needing it. I will of course expect that when I am
ready to use it that the station borrowing it from me will have the courtesy
to kindly vacate. That's only reasonable for me to expect. Right? After
all, it is rightful mine and if I ask him with courtesy if he's just about
through with it, then that should let him know that he's had it long enough.
After all, it is mine.

So there's a special event station on a particular frequency on 20 meters.
K2VOA. Been there most of the day. Seems about right and legal. Don't
recall ever seeing anything in the rules that limits your time on a certain
frequency provided that you're actually using it. I guess the owner of the
frequency decided that he really needed it badly so he comes on and asks the
special event station how much longer he's gonna be on that frequency. So
VOA continues working all of the stations calling him but Mr. Frequency
Owner is getting impatient. His call is, yeah, I'll publish it all over, is
ND8V. Anyone know him? So after not having the frequency relinquished back
to him simply starts calling CQ right on top of K2VOA.

Yeah, I know I shouldn't have, but I lose my temper on a rare occasion so I
had little chat with ND8V. Letting him know that he was being a total jerk,
that he defined "LID" and he didn't own the frequency so he ought to go
elsewhere. Yes, I did use my call. After getting nowhere in his attempt to
regain his frequency, he moved off frequency by all of about 1 KHz and
started his CQing. I let him know there as well that he was being a jerk.
Guess everyone knew that as no one ever did respond to his CQ. VOA was
commenting on his interference attempts as well and naming him by call.
Good for them.

Don't hear him anymore so guess he's off somewhere sulking over the poor
state of courtesy on the ham bands these days.

Some things do make my blood boil. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
