if I got everything posted right. :^) I managed to get it down to about
250k by reducing it to phone quality. Sounds a little different, but it
still conveys the message :^))

I'm hearing this weird TX just below 40... it'll buzz, then send what
sounds like data, and then after a couple rounds of that it'll send "z s c"
in code.
What in the world is it? My first thought was of that Canadian radar deal,
but I haven't heard it sound like this before if it is.
