Oh in reality the guy may have made a mistype on his antenna size.
Considering how we guys have this thing with "size" and the mention of six
inches, it just struck me as funny.
What guy would admit to only six inches anyhow? I am talking about antenna
size, you know. LOL
I really haven't been able to hear the XW1 either. Seems I'm not hearing a
whole lot of things for some reason right now. Don't know why. Antenna
seems to be working ok and trying three different radios, but I hear the
pileups bigtime. All the stations calling are loud and clear and seem to be
all around me geographically, and they're reporting high - yeah I know -
signal reports but also making comments of hearing the DX real well. And,
if I hear the DX station, he's pretty weak. Also, I too have had a heck of
a lot of 'em come back to me on my first or second call. Not now. I'm
calling till I think I ought to be blue in the face and getting nadda.
Could something around Bedford be sucking the signals up before they can
reach my antenna? Did somebody put up a RF screen shield around me? Guess
I'd better drive around town and have a look.
