Can't remember who had the snowball after me, but if you need the meter, let me what kind it is and I'll see if I can dig up another one. I don't know what happened to the snowball after it left here or where it went to be honest, but I'll make it good again. I've got enough new "stuff" to start another one.

Hi Joel,

Your offer is appreciated. The broken meter that I found was just an
example. This time the snowball had a couple of other broken items with
soem of the broken pieces also not in the box. I don't especially need
the meter but I look at each item to decide if it's something I want to
use. I already decided I didn't want 5to use the meter because of it's
characteristics and that somebody else would probably like it - then I
noticed it was broken.

As for the package of straw - they could have been used to help protect
something that somebody else along the way took and the package of
straws just stayed on for the next few rides. Overall with three broken
items and the broken off pieces not in the box along with the bulk of a
pack of straws it just doesn't really look good. No matter how we try,
some of the things in the box might get broken. Like the gizmo that Bry
found broken we should not keep paying to pass it along unless somebody
says they want it. We should all look for that before sending the stuff
on. Does somebody want a round meter with a broken case and an open
coil? The scale is marked for 0 to 150 volts AC and it had a parts
inside to indicate it would be used across the power line to monitor the
line voltage. I think it is still just short of my trash can.

There *ARE* other nice goodies in the box that I am not keeping and
passing along. A package or two of passive parts that I took a few and
put the rest back in the box. It's not a 'bust'. Some 100 kc xtals in
huge, three pin xtal holders. I already have a couple of 100 kc xtals so
on they go. And some tubes. I'll be adding some tubes, too. Two
identical transformers with something like 42 volt secondaries. I'm
keeping one. Putting in a different one from my goodie box. Quite a bit
of that sort of thing.

Bill KU8H
