For many years I worked lots of 6m contacts using my 80 meter double
extended zepp. 95 meters of wire up about 30' with tuned feeders. The
strongest lobes are near the direction of the wire. It is blessed with
many lobes, but also many nulls. But as sporadic E clouds moved they
moved signals from nulls to lobes.
I'd think a wire element yagi supported by a couple ropes would be very
effective and portable. Say 4 or 5 elements space over 10 or 12 feet.
