Hi Folks,

 

  The St. Mary's County Amateur Radio Association (SMCARA) is pleased to
invite YOU to join us tomorrow evening, Thursday, 26 January 2023, as we
hold our first meeting in the New Year!  Everyone, including non-members, is
welcome to join us as we introduce the new slate of Officers who will guide
the club through this year's activities.  The meeting will start promptly at
7:30 PM.  We have decided to continue holding the meetings using ZOOM for
two more months and then re-evaluate the COVID situation at that time to see
if it may be possible to restart in-person meetings at the Patuxent River
Naval Air Museum.  I will have the ZOOM link active starting at 7:15 PM if
you would like to check in a few minutes early to test out your connection.

 

  We have a new slate of Officers in place to guide the club this year and I
think you will be pleased with the activities we are planning to increase
participation and interest in amateur radio  in southern Maryland and the
surrounding area this year.  Our President, Jon Sheldon (N3AK) will kick off
the meeting formalities.  The other members of the executive team include
Brad Branch (KC3RWE) who is our new Treasurer and Neil Sovern (AC3CU) who is
our new Secretary.
