[SMCARA] 2022 ARRL Field Day with SMCARA (K3HKI)

Hello all,



Field day is almost here, and I am really looking forward to it.  We have
an awesome site  to operate from this year, thank you Pete.  If you haven’t
heard, the SMCARA will be operating from Historic Sotterley for Field Day
2022.  We believe we have everything covered but to just go over the list,
here it is.  If you find something we have missed or have an idea, please
send an email to Jon, Pete, and Rob.

*Head count:* Will you be able to stop by and how many in your party?

*Extra Gear:* Will you be bringing any gear?   We believe that we have
everything we need but if you would like to bring an antenna or radio to
try out, be my guest.  We can try to plan for it if we know about it.

*Flyer:*  If you haven’t done so already, please download the flyer from
the club website (http://www.k3hki.org/fd2022/) and post them where you
can.  If you get caught, I know nothing.

*Field Day Packet: *There is also a comprehensive packet also available on
the website.

*Stations:* We are planning on running two stations plus a GOTA.  All on
battery power but we will have a quiet generator as a backup.  Not sure but
I think we will be a 2A.

*Aggregate Club Score: *If you plan to operate from home but wish to have
your points added to the club, you can do so.  Please let Tony and Jon know
if you plan to do this.

*Setup:* We have the setup covered but if you think we need additional
supervision/direction we will be starting around 1100.

*Food/Drink:* Pete is taking care of the food so if you have any questions
or specific needs or foods to avoid, please let him know.

*Computer/Network:* Tony and Jon will be setting up the logging computers
and network.

*Safety Officer:* Rob will be our safety officer.  If someone has a white
hard-hat to loan him, that would be great 😊

*Greeter:* Pete has offered to be the greeter, but this really can be
anyone who finds an unfamiliar face on site.

*Field Day rules:*  Tony has read up on the field day rules if you have any
questions on them.  There is a copy of the rules in the QST and at (
https://contests.arrl.org/ContestRules/Field-Day-Rules.pdf) and in the
Field Day Packet.

*Bonus points:*  There are a few ways we can get some bonus points and Rob
was planning to track down what we can do.

*Ideas:* If you have any further ideas, let me know and we’ll see what we
can do.
