Tower, Beam and accessories almost free…
I am now 84 years old. I am in pretty good health but have had some cancer issues, plus we are living with this Covid issue right now. So, I figure it would make sense for me to make some decisions that will help my wife if something were to happen to me. That means I would like to get my Mosley TA-33 and Rohn tower down so she will not have to worry about that if I should become an SK.
My son and I put up this Rohn and the Mosley using a Gin Pole. Let me tell you, that gin pole is one hell of a fantastic tool. I worked my butt off, but the point is, that thing works and does a great job. However, that was ten years ago and at 84, I still climb the tower when I need to check out an SWR problem or something else, but I do not want to try to take it down alone.
I am trying to get a local to come take things down for me. My offer to them is to take it down and you can have it but I do not want to give it all away especially since I have no income other than Social Security and I would like to get a few bucks. I would be very pleased to get two or three hundred bucks but that remains to be seen.
Here is my offer:
If you were to purchase a NEW:
Mosley TA-33 - $500 Plus
Rohn 50’ Tower - $500 Plus
Hy Gain CD45II Rotor and cable - $400 Plus
MFJ 250 Dummy Load- $75
Ameritron AWM SWR/RF Meter $200 Plus
Delta-4 Coax Switch - $50 Plus
100’ of Coax - $50 Plus
Gin Pole - $200 Plus
Items above worth in the area of $2,000. My offer is – you take down the antenna and tower, I would appreciate it if you would pay me two or three hundred dollars but nothing more than $400.
I am in Northern Calvert County and plan to stay on the air with my Kenwood TS-570, and a G5RV Horizontal at 50’ I can be reached at k3cdq at comcast.net or chat or text at 301-758-2957.
