[SMCARA] Meeting Minutes Posted

Good Afternoon SMCARA, We held our September meeting last Thursday, 9/24 using Zoom. We had a good turnout and an excellent presentation on the Raspberry Pi from Bob, KB3KOW. The meeting minutes have been posted on the club's website and are available for viewing.
 During the meting, we discussed that the bi-yearly elections are coming up next month during our meeting on 22 October. Three of the four current members of the board are very much willing to stay on for another two years if voted in by the club: Rob, N2OMC as President; Pete, WA3UMY as Vice President; and Walt, W3GYT as Treasurer. Jayne, W4VJU has advised she will be stepping down as the Secretary. A huge thank you to Jayne for all that she has done for the club over the last two years! With her stepping down, we will need a member to step up and fill this important position.  
 Also during the meeting, Pete, WA3UMY brought up the fact that the current Constitution does not allow the club President to serve more than one (2) year term. He drew up a proposal to make a small change to the Constitution to be voted on at the October meeting before the elections are conducted. The proposal and all of the detail on it are attached to the meeting minutes on the club's website. 
 In closing, if anyone would be willing to serve as the club Secretary, please send me an email and let me know. And even if you are considering it, let me know and we can chat about it.
