[SMCARA] Meeting Reminder & Winter Field Day

 Good Morning SMCARA!

Well 2020 is here and we are kicking off the new year with our first membership meeting. The meeting will take place this Thursday, 1/23 at the Pax Air Museum starting at 7:30PM. We are holding a test session before the meeting which will start at 6:00PM. The topic for the meeting will be a planning session for 2020: what topics would you like for meeting presentations, discussion on Field Day, Tailgate Fest, etc. Also, we have the MD/DC Section Emergency Coordinator, Jim Montgomery (WB3KAS) down to talk about the ARES program in the section and how we can get more involved and active in the County. 

Also, this coming weekend, 25-26 January is Winter Field Day and this year we are going to participate as a club. The plan is to meet at the Air Museum around 1100 on Saturday and begin setup. We will get on the air for the contest starting at 1400 and run till 1800 or so and shut down. Since this is our first year doing it, the goal is to get our feet wet and have a relaxed operating session on Saturday only. A good excuse to get together as a club, put some radios on the air and have some fun.
