[SMCARA] STEM Fest Support

Good Morning SMCARA!

 We have been invited to participate in the Technology and Arts Expo being held at the Pax River NAS Museum on 2/29, starting at 1000. Pete has reserved the room we used for Field Day which should give us plenty of room and access to the coax from the outside antennas.


The plan is to have multiple tables in the room showing kit building, snap kits, HF & VHF radio and an information table with a bunch of handouts on Amateur Radio and the club.


As of now, we have a number of members signed up to support but we need more. We also have a few folks coming down from Charles County to support. If you would like to help out, please send me an email at my Yahoo account: robhoyt32 at yahoo.com.


If you have never worked a STEM fest before, they are a lot of fun and a great way to interact with kids and their parents about radio and showing that, yes, radio is still alive and well :)
