[SMCARA] Marathon Summary

Good Morning Folks!  Last Sunday, members of SMCARA showed up in Piney Point early on a cold morning to support the Lower Potomac River Marathon. Many thanks to our Secretary Jayne for typing up a nice summary of the race communications support along with maps, you can view it on the club's website: www.K3HKI.org. Many thanks to the folks listed in the article for coming out to support! 

Below is the email I received from the race director thanking us for our support:  

Hi Rob, Thank you to you and your crew for devoting the better part of a Sunday to supporting our runners.  It's very reassuring to have you out there as my eyes and ears on the course.  Your crew is tops at working races - they know just what to watch for and report. We'd love to have you work with us again next year.  The half-marathon course will just cover the island, Lighthouse Road, and the section of Rte 249 roughly up to Steuart Petroleum Rd. And there will be a post-race brunch at the Paul Hall Center.
