[SMCARA] 146.640 Repeater Tour

Good Afternoon Folks!

Tom, W4OKW has spent a long time and a lot of effort keeping the 64 repeater running and healthy. Out of my desire to see the repeater and tower first hand came the idea of doing a tour of the repeater site. So with that said, for anyone who is interested, we will meet Tom at the repeater site this coming Saturday, 20 April at 9:00am for a "tour" of the repeater site. The site is at 21320 Poplar Ridge Road (  38 13 41N, 76 24 33W ), several miles south of the base. Poplar Ridge Road has 2 exits from Rt235 and the site is closer to the southern end.  Coming south on Poplar Ridge, from the north entrance, the site will be on the right, easily recognized by the 150 foot tower! The repeater is in the small building next to the green Parks and Recs warehouse.  

The equipment shed is a bit small, so 5 or so people inside at a time for the "show-n-tell".
