[SMCARA] Fielld Day June 23 and 24 Breakfast with Hams June 9, 2018

CQ, CQ, CQ,  All members and Friends of the St. Mary's County Amateur Radio Association!Your Radio club is sponsoring the 2018 annual Field Day exercise at the Hollywood Vounteer Fire Departments grounds.  The HVFD field day site is located behind the Bingo Hall just off Route 235 north of the intersection of the Hollywood- Leonardtown Road and MD Route 235. Their is a caution light at the enterance to the HVFD grounds. Tony Berry, N5TB, is our Field Day coordinator and provided a list of activities and schedule at our last SMCARA meeting on May 24, 2018.    Set up of the operating area and antennas is scheduled to begin at 1000 (1300Z). Tony will need some volunteers to get ready for operation of field day from this site at 1400 (1600Z).Tony will need volunters to assure that the computer logging system is operational as well as the testing of the antenna farm.  We thank Gene Tally for being our HVFD liaison in obtaing  our field day site for this year and in previous years.
    The Breakfast with Hams party at our local Cracker Barrel was well attended by fourteen hungery people.
